Warning: Spoilers ahead for The Drama!
There is plenty of drama in — and surrounding — The Drama.
The new A24 film, which was released in theaters on April 3, stars Zendaya and Robert Pattinson as Emma Harwood and Charlie Thompson, preparing to get married.
They seem to be "a happily engaged couple," but Emma and Charlie's relationship is "put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails," according to the official synopsis.
The "twist" in The Drama has been teased, and with the film out now, the reveal has been met with some backlash and criticism, with organizations like March For Our Lives speaking out against the movie's marketing.
Here's the end of The Drama, explained.

The twist in The Drama is revealed when a wedding menu tasting takes a dark turn.
For the tasting, Charlie and Emma invite their best man, Mike (Mamoudou Athie), and matron of honor Rachel (Alana Haim) to come along with them. After the foursome have a few drinks, an inebriated Rachel asks the others to confess the worst thing they've ever done.
Mike goes first and he reveals that he used his ex-girlfriend to protect himself during a confrontation with a vicious dog. Rachel then admits to leaving a boy in the closet of an RV for hours when she was a child.
Charlie confesses to cyberbullying when he was younger, and when it's Emma's turn she tells Mike, Rachel and Charlie, that when she was a teenager she planned to do a mass shooting at her school.
They think she's joking, but learn she's telling the truth as she adds more details, like how she was going to use her dad's gun to do it. Emma also reveals that it was while practicing firing the gun in the woods that she damaged her ear drums, causing her to have hearing loss in one ear.

Horrified, Charlie realizes he doesn't know his bride-to-be as well as he thought, and wonders if he can marry someone who is capable of plotting something so sinister.

Emma didn't proceed with the school shooting, not because of a change of heart, but because by coincidence, another shooting happened at the local mall the same week.
The heinous act ultimately led to Emma's transformation. A classmate of hers was a victim in the shooting, and their death resulted in Emma joining a gun control group led by students and making friends.
In the end, she decided not to go through with her plot.

Leading up to his wedding day, Charlie is unsure if he should marry Emma. During his dilemma, he kisses his colleague, Misha (Hailey Gates), who speaks with Emma at the wedding reception, and tells her about the kiss.
Blake (Michael Abbott Jr.), Misha's boyfriend, also learns of the kiss at the reception, and headbutts Charlie while Charlie is giving an awkward speech in front of the guests.

Yes, Charlie and Emma do get married, but they are far from "happily ever after."
After getting in a physical altercation at his own wedding, Charlie later arrives back at his apartment, but Emma is not there. He decides to go to a diner he and Emma love. Charlie arrives at the restaurant — still wearing his bloodied tux from the wedding — and sits in a booth and orders food.
Emma then walks in, still wearing her wedding dress. She sits down opposite him in the booth, and introduces herself as if they've never met. Charlie plays along, as the two flirt with each other and they rebuild their relationship.
The Drama ends with Charlie and Emma attempting to start over, while also beginning their life as a married couple.
