Katherine Schwarzenegger's video of action star husband Chris Pratt constructing a dollhouse for their daughters has generated a big response.

"When you have a golden retriever husband," she captioned footage of the *Guardians of the Galaxy* star sanding a child-sized toy.

"I'll never understand when women say, 'I don't need my husband,' when I very much in fact do need my husband," Schwarzenegger wrote. "Because who else would build our daughters a dollhouse?"

Then the comments rolled in. Many of the more than 11,000 responses to the post criticized the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.

"Born of privilege & entitlement in a celeb fam has its massive drawbacks," one Instagram user wrote.

Another slammed Schwarzenegger with a reference to her controversial relative who works for the Trump administration: "Maybe babies got switched in that fam & she's really the daughter of RFK Jr."

"I don’t need my husband. I WANT him," one user wrote. "I think that's a better dynamic."

Schwarzenegger had many defenders, too, commenting that she should "ignore all the negativity," because people were just "jealous."

"The fact that you have a partner that does the things you don't want to do and you do the things that he doesn't want to do. you guys are lucky!" began one comment. "Don't let anybody tell you anything different. This has nothing to do with feminism this has to do with lonely people whining because they don't have what you have!"

Schwarzenegger and Pratt married in 2019 and share three children: daughter Lyla, 5, and Eloise, 3, and 1-year-old son Ford. (Pratt is also the father of son Jack, 13, whom he shares with ex-wife Anna Faris.)

The couple has been candid about their relationship in the past. In February, Pratt explained that they entered their union with a clear set of rules, thanks to the pre-marital counseling required by the Catholic church were they swapped vows.

"If you're somebody who's thinking of getting married, you should definitely follow this," Pratt told his *Parks and Recreation* costar Rob Lowe on *Literally! With Rob Lowe*.

"They ask you questions you would not even think to answer," Pratt continued, "until you've been married for eight years and then something comes up, and you're like, 'What do you mean? That's what you think about that?' And then you have to negotiate it then. Like re-negotiating every landmine. It was really great."

Pratt explained that the pair "came up with this whole list of directives that we were gonna have in our partnership and in our wedding."
