Cardi B brings 'Bodega Baddie' bars, Dominican culture to 'SNL' stage

Cardi B brought her fiery attitude – and Dominican culture – to "Saturday Night Live."
On the Jan. 31 episode of the late night program, the self-proclaimed "Trap Selena" shook her hips during her upbeat performance of her single, "Bodega Baddie," with legendary Dominican accordionist, El Prodigio.
Dressed in an all-black rockstar-inspired ensemble for her second performance, she spat bars while her background dancers executed explosive choreography to "ErrTime."
Both songs are featured on Cardi's second album, "Am I The Drama?" released in September.
"I’m sooooooo happy …It's such a honor for me to perform on one of the most prestigious stages in America," she wrote in an Instagram post.
"Bringing real Dominican sound, real Dominican culture, infused with the sounds and culture of the Bronx! Yall don’t understand I’m sooo happy!"
Alexander Skarsgard makes 'SNL' debut
Alexander Skarsgård, who is starring in the new Charli XCX mockumentary "The Moment" and the dark comedy "Pillion," made his "SNL" hosting debut on the Jan. 31 episode, joined by Cardi B as the musical guest.
In the episode's cold open, comedian Pete Davidson addressed the ongoing political turmoil surrounding immigration in Minneapolis. Additionally, Cardi and Skarsgård appeared in a separate sketch, "Immigrant Dad Talk Show 3."

"SNL" will return on Feb. 28 with host Connor Storrie and musical guest Mumford & Sons.

Cardi B's Little Miss Drama Tour begins in February

Cardi's "SNL" performances gave her fans a taste of what to expect on her highly anticipated Little Miss Drama Tour, beginning in Palm Desert, California, on Feb. 11.
Cardi will embark on another 31 stops across North America. The tour will come to an end in Atlanta on April 18.
The rap superstar has been giving fans a glimpse into tour prep on Instagram, which she started immediately after giving birth to her child with her NFL boyfriend, Stefon Diggs.
