- Original stars David Chokachi and Erika Eleniak are also appearing in the series revival, slated to premiere in January 2027.

- The original *Baywatch* debuted in 1989 and became the most-watched show in the world, airing in more than 200 countries.

Michael Bergin and Kelly Packard are ready to dive back into the *Baywatch* world.

The two will reprise their roles as lifeguards Jack "J.D." Darius and April Giminski on Fox's upcoming reboot of the beachside drama, * *can confirm. Bergin was a lead in seasons 8-11 of the original series and returned in the made-for-television movie *Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding*. Packard, meanwhile, was a regular in seasons 8 and 9. They'll serve as guest stars on the reboot.

Bergin and Packard are the latest legacy cast members to board the new *Baywatch*. David Chokachi is returning in a recurring role as Cody Madison, and Erika Eleniak is slated to make a guest appearance as Shauni McClain.

News of the *Baywatch* reboot broke in 2023, and the project subsequently landed at Fox.* **Burn Notice* creator Matt Nix will serve as the executive producer and showrunner of the revival series.

According to an official synopsis, the new *Baywatch* will feature "all the adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry and beachside heroics that defined the original — now with an entirely new cast, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges, and a renewed mission to protect Southern California's shoreline."

Carmen Electra will join 'Baywatch' reboot, but has 1 major condition

Stephen Amell will lead the cast as former "wild child" Hobie Buchannon, who's "now a Baywatch Captain, following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Mitch," the description adds, referring to original star David Hasselhoff.

"Hobie's world is turned upside down when Charlie (Jessica Belkin), the daughter he never knew, shows up on his doorstep, eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy and become a Baywatch lifeguard alongside her dad," the synopsis concludes.

Also cast for the reboot are newcomers to the *Baywatch *world: Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Brooks Nader as Selene, Shay Mitchell as Trina, Noah Beck as Luke, and Livvy Dunne as Grace.

*Baywatch *debuted in 1989 and became the most-watched show in the world, airing in more than 200 countries. At its peak,* *the show reached more than 1 billion viewers weekly. It ran for 11 seasons, airing 243 episodes and ending in 2003.

The new *Baywatch *is scheduled to premiere on Fox in January 2027.
